To My Freshman Roommates...

I had the honor of having TWO roommates this year. God bless them both for putting up with me. Here's a few things I'd like to thank them for...

1. Thank you for putting up with me...period.
2. Thank you for letting me fangirl over the Duggars every Tuesday from 8-9pm even though you were probably studying for your hardest class.
3. Lauren, thank you for letting me obsess over Christmas starting on November 1st.
4. Olivia, thank you for letting me sleep without the tv on.
5. Thank you for letting me toot whenever I felt the need to...even if it did smell like the brewery was located in our room.
6. Thank you for putting up me when I was moody and just being stupid.
7. Lauren, thank you for staying up with me to let me give you that pointless story about you stealing mattresses at 11:30 at night.
8. Also, thank you for letting me rearrange our room even though you weren't feeling it.
9. Olivia, thank you for letting me get us a pet fish for our room.
10. Thank you for letting me have ambiance lights.
11. Lauren, thank you for teaching me that sometimes, silence is absolutely golden.
12. Olivia, thank you for making me laugh uncontrollably from your comments that probably shouldn't have been said, yet you kept a straight face while saying them.
13. Thank you for letting me go on rants about religion, even if you probably didn't agree with me.
14. Lauren, thank you for helping me study Psychology and also pronouncing it like p-sy-cho-lo-gy.
15. Olivia, thank you for helping me with Education classes, since you took some last semester when I didn't.

Thank you, Olivia and Lauren, so much for being my roommates this year. Although we had our rough times, it was great to be able to live with the both of you and make the good memories that we did. I wouldn't trade the year for anything, and you two played a big part of it. Love you both so much. <3

Spiritual Numbness

You know that feeling you get when you don't feel right? Like, you're just, off. Almost like you don't have an opinion about much and nothing really seems that great to you. You aren't mad, you aren't sad, and you aren't happy. You're just numb. You know that feeling, right? As the semester comes to an end, I reflect back on these last few months and I can say I've become an expert of this numb feeling. If you don't know already, I am a Resident Assistant for freshmen girls, and I live alone for the first time in my life (gasp). Being that all of my friends are off campus or living with other roommates, there isn't much time I get to spend with these people in my life. Adulthood and New Transitions

I've been a little MIA lately but since we've last talked, a lot has happened! Between graduation, meeting Noah, moving twice, and finding a job, I feel like I've been thrown all over the place going 100 miles an hour. Between all of the crazy and beautiful life events, I've finally realized that I've been putting my relationship with Christ on the back burner since the beginning of my senior year. I still go to Mass every weekend, visit the sacraments regularly, pray every now and then, but these things haven't been as intentional as they were a year ago. I think the main reason for this is the distractions and great new life events going on. I never chose to not be intentional but I simply forgot HOW to be intentional.
